Up until now I defined myself as a figurative painter. I have always been drawn to imagery that expresses themes of the romantic gothic and the mystery surrounding death. Recently, I discovered printmaking and have enjoyed using my skills and experience in drawing and painting to create multiples to reach a broader audience. I have also noticed that printmaking has exposed my visual language and use of symbology allowing me to move through my ideas faster. This new body of work follows my fascination with the macabre and situates me with the transformation I’ve undergone while pursuing art.
